The Fort Lewis Museum was built in 1918 and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Today the building is in desperate need of repair. The exterior needs to be repaired to make the building watertight. The interior will be renovated and upgraded to bring the building up to current building codes. The second and third floors will be renovated and converted to office and classroom spaces.
