CURRENT PROJECTS

St. Mark's Lutheran Church by the Narrows
Tacoma, WA

This project consists of a 9,400 square foot two-story addition to the existing church to house classrooms and a large multi-purpose room for the congregation. The addition will expand the church to the west, tying into the Sanctuary and Narthex Foyer and into the current parking lot. Replacing the exterior stairs will be a ground level entrance with interior stairs and an elevator. Remodel work in the existing building includes upgrades to electrical system, fire alarm, and installing a new sprinkler system throughout.

Sha Dadx Habitat Restoration Project
Puyallup, WA

WPC was awarded a $6M Aquatic Habitat Restoration Project adjoining the Puyallup River by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). Work includes construction of a ring levee around the site to contain floodwater within the habitat area, protecting properties adjacent to the site. The project will improve habitat for juvenile salmonids by increasing areas for rearing and foraging, as well as by enhancing conditions for important prey resources such as resident fish and terrestrial insects. The habitat improvements will have beneficial effects not only to the Puget Sound salmon stocks in particular, but also to other Puget Sound anadromous fish stocks and resident fish.

Construction started in June and is scheduled to be completed by October of 2008.
