Tualatin River National Wildlife Refuge Administration Building & Wildlife
Center
Tualatin, Oregon
The goal of this Design\Build project is to provide quality educational facilities for the Refuge's environmental education program as well as to provide administrative office space for Refuge staff. The project consists of two separate buildings.
The Administration Building includes conference rooms, staff offices, storage room, communications rooms, and a document library located around a central workspace with skylights.
The Wildlife Center consists of environmental education classrooms, a multipurpose room, interpretive exhibit area, viewing windows, and a co-op sales area.
Tom Taylor Insurance Headquarters
Tacoma, Washington
This building is a 15,000 square foot, two-story wood framed building located on 19th Street in Tacoma. The design is a craftsman style and includes cultured stone wainscoting with shingle siding on the first level, and board and batt siding on the second level. The building is home to Tom Taylor Insurance, with tenant space occupied by DaVita, a kidney dialysis company that has locations throughout the United States.
David L. Stone Education
Center
Fort Lewis, Washington
This $7.5M project is a 65,000 square foot, two-story design/build education center. The project provides an education "shopping mall" with administrative offices for local universities and colleges, shared classrooms and support spaces. Facilities provided include administrative offices, counseling offices, testing offices, science laboratories, an ALC Library, a learning center, classrooms, an auditorium, and an A/V room. Three wings off the central atrium house local colleges, administrative office, and shared classrooms.
WPC received an Excellence in Design Award for this project from the Society of American Military Engineers.
Joint Personnel Recovery
Training Facility
Fairchild AFB, Spokane, Washington
This $5.2M design/build facility is a 25,000 square foot, single-story steel framed structure with exterior brick veneer walls, metal siding, and metal roofing. The facility includes classrooms, a spacious auditorium with high-tech audio/visual system integrated within, instructor training offices, administrative office space, and communications room.
WPC received an Honor Award for this project from the Seattle Post of the Society of American Military Engineers for this project.

Underwater Equipment Laboratory, Acoustic Test and Analysis
Center
Bayview, Idaho
This $7.7 million 28,000 square foot design/build facility, located in a remote area of northern Idaho, includes a state-of-the-art communications center, new laboratories, shops, offices, and computer spaces. The facility is used by Navy personnel to develop stealth submarine technology. The building is a two-story air-conditioned facility constructed of structural steel framing, with metal siding and standing seam metal roofing. Building systems include Intrusion Detection and Access Control systems and a new Voice System, as the facility is the new location of the data server for the site.
A double interlock precaution system serves the overhead areas for the LSV Systems, ISMS Lab and Climate Controlled Equipment rooms.
